Hi, I’m Joseph Ramsawak 👋🏽

I’m an Integrated Coach for Multidimensional Humans blending psychology, lifestyle medicine, narrative practices and human-centered design.

📖 My Story

My career has spanned 12+ years in human-centered design, leading insights-based strategy for category leading brands across industries such as gaming, journalism & information, fashion, home electronics and appliances, telecommunications, entertainment, and more. Chances are high you’ve used a product I’ve worked on, whether it’s in your home, on your person, in your phone, or what you do on the weekend. Helping shape products and experiences that people interact with daily required curiosity, empathy, and creativity, even for the seemingly mundane. These skills now guide my coaching—seeing systems, spotting opportunities, and designing pathways for meaningful growth.

Four years ago, I made a conscious shift toward the work I’ve been called to do: supporting multidimensional humans in living fully integrated lives. Fresh out of lockdown, I quit my job to start freelancing, packed up my apartment in San Francisco, and booked flights to New York & the Caribbean, where my family is from. It was a decision rooted in the desire to slow down, reconnect with myself, and reimagine what life could look like beyond high-achievement paths I’d always known. Over the next couple years, I grew as a human-centered design consultant & coach through the agency space, and I was privileged to work with technologists, creatives, founders, and entrepreneurs doing something new in ways that honored their multidimensional selves. Gradually, the people became more fascinating than the products, and I found myself flexing old muscles from past lives in leadership development & facilitation, intercultural communication, and cross-culture community building.

As I searched for coaches to help me navigate intercontinental moves and career progression, I noticed a gap. Most approaches felt one-dimensional, and as a Queer, Caribbean child of Immigrants raised in New York, it was difficult to find coaches who truly reflected my experience. I realized people like me need spaces designed for multidimensional coherence—but it was on me to shoot the gap. The last arc of my career carried me across oceans and gave me independence and freedom. The next arc is about grounding, sustainable thriving, and conscious living in community—fully whole and multidimensionally. I could have built an app; instead I became an
Integrated Coach for Multidimensional Humans.

📷 My Focus Now:

I’ve always believed in person-to-person change, and the coaching practice I’m building is one grounded in the belief that personal growth is a sacred project rooted in sovereignty, purpose, and truth. Through this practice, I support high-achieving Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Queer People, and allied humans to align with their inner wisdom, step into their power, and build lives and careers that honor their humanity and values.

My focus is on integrated living—helping people design lives that are not siloed between work, health, relationships, and purpose, but lived intentionally in coherence. My coaching style draws from a unique blend of disciplines—human-centered design, intercultural communication, leadership development, lifestyle medicine, and positive psychology. In this space, systems thinking meets deep empathy, and strategy meets soul. I’m fueled by helping people reimagine what’s possible—in their careers, health, relationships, and contribution to the world. Because when multidimensional humans thrive, entire communities shift.

I hold Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dartmouth College, a Master of Arts in Design Research from the School of Visual Arts in New York with a focus on spaces, experiences, and products. I completed coach training through the Co-Active Training Institute, the world’s most renowned experiential coach training organization, where I now continue to deepen my practice under supervision. I’m also a recipient of the Positive Intelligence Coaching Grant, designed for coaches incorporating positive psychology and mental fitness training into their practices. In parallel to my coaching work and in advance of doctoral study, I’m currently pursuing a Master of Science in Lifestyle Medicine at the University of Thessaly, both to augment my approach to personal change and transformation, and to explore new concept modalities for integrated living and wellbeing.

🔬 Still Researching, But For Flourishing

My skills in interviewing, facilitating, brainstorming, and strategizing are in full use as a coach. Through graduate study, I’m exploring how narrative tools like journaling and scripting support behavior change, self-actualization, and adherence in lifestyle medicine and coaching. My ultimate goal is to translate behavioral science into accessible practices, helping multidimensional humans take ownership of their mental and physical wellbeing—especially in systems that have historically failed to serve them.

I’m deeply curious about our human capacity for thriving in these critical times, and the potential to design new hybrid therapeutic modalities that bridge mental and physical health. I welcome new coaching clients and research collaborators worldwide as I continue to explore these frontiers.
